PROCESS INDUSTRIES, PROCESS PLANTS requires UPS, AVR, DC systems etc. for uninterrupted and trouble free (due to poor power quality) running of both PROCESS EQUIPMENTS as well as the control equipment(s), PLC’s, DCS panels etc. Such application needs UPS systems and other Power solutions with industrial grade UPS (higher protection levels, high In-rush current capacity, overload capacity). with input Harmonic filters (to arrest losses), Input / output ISOLATION (Transformers) etc.
Description
Depending upon requirements, long back-up (4/6/8 hours) models / Systems recommended. For Critical applications UPS’s in Redundant Configuration or Modular UPS with built-in N+1 Redundancy along with IT’s are used. They also require AVR/SVR for Voltage Stabilization especially in areas, where power quality is not good/ stable.
For many site specific applications in stead of standard VRLA, Ni-Cd batteries are also used.
